Program Overview
The 1-year Advanced Diploma in Art and Design Practice with a specialization in Designing Education is a hands-on, minds-on, hearts-on, life-based approach to changing education, offered by the Centre for Education, Research Training and Development (CERTAD) at Srishti.
Curriculum Content
Drawing from heuristic intelligence and the interconnectedness of life processes and driven by practice-based learning, the program pans traditional and new age subject areas through design thinking to deliver impactful education across socio-economic categories.
The program invites candidates who want to tap into the creative potential of design thinking to innovate new practices that can transform education in schools. Srishti Director, Geetha Narayanan describes “Design as pedagogy” as the application of the innovation and creativity applied within the design field as an essential component of educational practice. The key objective here is to re-position the role and professional practice of a teacher/facilitator.
