"Lille 3000", the global art festival in Lille, France, showcased the multiple facets of India - at the crossroads of art and modernity.
The recurrent theme of lille3000 was the avant-garde, with visions of the future interlinked with Indian events. Examples included Les Modernités Recyclées, La Maison de l’Energie Vitale and the Futurotextiles exhibition, where innovation and technology came together in interaction with contemporary art.
Srishti worked on the project of ‘Food’ for over a year with a large group of students eventually choosing two projects – ‘Full Fill’ and ‘Street Food’ to be presented in the exhibition. The provided venue was one of the two Maison Folies – Maison Folie Moulins, where an opportunity to enjoy a stimulating journey through multiple facets of Indian culture was created.
Srishti showed its two projects in the venue sharing the space with students from ENSCI, Paris creating an ambience of an Indian restaurant.
Two more installations, ‘Eternal Train’ and ‘Rustle TV’ were exhibited at Les Modernités Recyclées - Recycled Modernities – that encapsulated a vast forum of exchange, creativity, debates, installations and performances.
