Admission Requirements

Srishti offers a range of postgraduate Advanced Diploma Programs. Some lie under the aegis of its two research centres - Centre for Experimental Media Arts (CEMA) and Centre for Educational Research Training and Development (CERTAD). At present, Advanced Diploma Programs are being offered in Design in Education (CERTAD) and Experimental Media Arts (CEMA).

NEW ADP ANNOUNCEMENT: We are offering an Advanced Diploma Program in Transcultural Design in a joint collaboration with L’Ecole de Design, Nantes Atlantique, France. The curriculum for this program has been developed in partnership with L’Ecole de Design and will concentrate on aspects of interaction design, responsible innovation, ethnography and cultural hybridity in design. Starting in October 2010, the program will involve 2 residencies in France, of which one will be an industry internship. Selection to the program will be based on the recommendations of an international jury. Details of this program are available here. The Advanced Diploma Programs are not 'taught' programs - candidates are expected to have high levels of self-motivation, ability to multi-task and to work in project-based learning (PBL) or laboratory modes with a keen interest in creating self-initiated projects and research.

HOW TO APPLY FOR ADMISSION

1. ELIGIBILITY: Experienced professionals and graduates from any discipline who can demonstrate their keen interest in the sphere of art and design by means of a convincing portfolio of work are welcome to apply directly to join the Advanced Diploma Programs.

2. PORTFOLIO REVIEW: Candidates will have to submit for review by an expert panel an extensive portfolio of their art and design works to demonstrate their genuine interest and practice in this area and adequacy in conceptual and technical skills.

3. INTERVIEW: The interview helps Srishti evaluate the creative, intellectual and psychologicaL fit of a candidate for admission.
