Aagaman was a workshop that targeted groups of practitioners in the areas of craft design, heritage, technology and craft training. The workshop was centered on the issue of design and sustainable approaches to craft, given the challenge to use new technologies to tackle this issue. ARCO, Madrid which is one of the most important international art fairs, celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2006 with Austria as its special guest country. "Austria at ARCO 06" was the Ars Electronica Center’s collaboration with MediaLab Madrid and they staged the "Digital Transit" exhibition that ran from February 8 - April 2, 2006 at the Centro Cultural Conde Duque. As part of that, the Ars Electroncia center showcased some of the best works from their previous festivals. |

Ars Electronica is an organization based in Linz, Austria, founded in 1979 around a festival for art, technology and society. Each year, a college engaged in the teaching of media art and media culture is invited to showcase its work at the festival. Srishti School of Art Design and Technology was the guest institution at Ars Electronica 2005 and the venue for the exhibition was the Kunstuniversitat University of Art), Linz, Austria. |
| COMMUNITY RADIO 2004 |
Community Radio was a 10 day workshop on community radio conducted by Stalin K. of Drishti Media Collective, held at the Srishti campus from June 21 to 30, 2004. The workshop introduced participants to the community radio movement in India and created an involved and participative understanding of the distinction between community and commercial radio. |

The 2nd International Conference on Open Collaborative Design for Sustainable Innovation was hosted by Srishti in Bangalore at the Infosys campus from December 1 to 2, 2002 with nearly 200 delegates from across the world in attendance. “dyd02”examined issues of innovation and collaboration in the context of control and culture to arrive at directions that are coherent and meaningful for development – urban and rural. ID Catalyst was a two-day collaborative, intense workshop for South Asian Design Professionals December 16-17, 2004. The workshop was sponsored/organised by Titan Industries Ltd. and Srishti School of Art, Design and Technology, Bangalore, India. ID Catalyst 2004 was conceptualized as a focused forum that combined formal and informal spaces with intimate and group interactions, to facilitate active engagement of Industrial Design professionals of the South Asian region, with contemporary theory and emerging practices that are globally competitive and locally appropriate. |

The Festival of Kabir in end February 2009 was a week-long festive yet critical immersion in the ideas of the 15th century mystic weaver poet Kabir, through a series of film screenings, live music concerts by folk, classical and Sufi singers from India and Pakistan, discussions, seminars, poetry readings, an exhibition and out-reach events in colleges, institutions of higher education, socio-cultural and religious communities in and around the city of Bangalore. |
